Asa Akira, born Asa Takigami in January 1985 in New York City, is one of the most recognizable Asian-American performers the industry has produced. Petite at 5'2", black hair, a C-cup. She spent part of her childhood in Tokyo before settling in Brooklyn, and brought a sharp, media-savvy public persona to a career that ran from the mid-2000s to the late 2010s.

Career

She debuted around 2006 and built into one of the marquee names of her era, working the major studios across boy-girl, anal and group lines. An Asian-American crossover star who became as known for her writing and podcasting as for her scenes, which is unusual for any performer at her level.

She briefly studied at Hunter College before dropping out and moving into the industry, and once she did she rose fast. She paired with Skin Diamond, Kristina Rose and a long list of name talent.
